In contrast to her sister, Mei is more outgoing. She will politely speak with anyone, creating image of an adorable and very creative girl. She sees herself as an artist and prefers to spend time creatively than exercise, and because of that, she feels like a stranger in her family, which looks at her skeptically. Sometimes she likes to wander alone and play shamisen. She's a very sensitive person and can be caring, but rather hides it.
Not being accepted for who she really was, she grew up with the despise feeling in her heart towards her clan members. In her heart she rebels against the tradition of her family. She became two-faced and selfish person, who tries to ingratiate herself with other. She's only thinking about her own needs, while trying to mask her greedy nature.

Mei is very girly, well mannered and most of the time she wears a tenderly, charming smile. Will always try to gently cover up her mouth with her hand when laughing. She has quite affectionate way of speaking and uses honorifics. Often gesturing while talking or in some cases, winks. Tends to play often with her hair. 

H i s t o r y

The youngest daughter born into a family of royal warriors. Though raised in the same way like her older siblings, she was significantly different. Tales of great warriors didn't arouse impression on her. She was more focused on her inner world than on family tradition.                                      

She grew up being forced to train swordsmanship with her mother and later with cousins. She didn't want to become a samurai as the rest of the clan, but her parents have entered into an arrangement with her - If she will train three hours a day, they will allow her to develop artistically. Mei was never bored, in fact, her days were filled with activities. At the age of 15, she got interested in becoming a ninja. Her parents didn't understand her change, but accepted the idea disapprovingly, because at least she would get more training. 

When she turned 16, she started often sneak out of her room into the woods. Mei found a place where she could rest alone, writing her poems, or in the rare case, practice with throwing blades. One day, she met a two years older man named Keichi, who was only a son of a carpenter. Still, he was quite handsome and seemed to be strangely intelligent and interested in her artistic nature. She fell in love with him and started to secretly date with him, sharing with him her passion. At the beginning, she felt really happy for being accepted for who she was. She even considered to escape with him, but she couldn't find the courage to do it. It started to get worse, when she still refused him to have sexual intercourse with him. He began to harass her for it and one day he demanded proof of her love, trying to force her into sex. Disgusted by his constant urge and his attempt to use force, she slapped him and said it was the end of their relationship. With broken heart she returned to her home and never ever told about this. After that day, Mei realized that in this world love doesn't exist and men think only about sex and power. She realized that the only thing she can provide for herself, is a comfortable, wealthy life.

Mei decided to do everything to achieve this goal, in other words - to seduce her daimyo, Janomechou. She began intensive training to become his guard just like her older sister. She became quite prideful, seeing herself not only as an artist, but also a strong woman. Still, she couldn't manage to become stronger than her sister, but after her 19th birthday, she managed to finally get a job as a guard of the daimyo. Quickly and successfully, she catched the attention of her daimyo, but to be called his concubine, not necessarily makes her happy...
