Anzu is a girl who is always looking for some action or activity. She enjoys catching other people's attention, as she loves chatting, joking, and flirting with friends and strangers alike. Despite being very social, she rarely shows her sensitive side, as she prefers to keep things fast-paced and silly rather than emotional or serious. It's not like she doesn't have any feelings, because she cares very much for the feelings of the people around her, it’s just that she shows those feelings through her actions rather than words. At the moment, she rarely thinks about the consequences of her actions, has little respect for rules or hierarchy which sometimes leads her into trouble. She often jumps into things without a second thought, but thankfully she is as good at figuring a way out of trouble as she is at getting into it, or at least that's what she thinks. She is also bluntly honest and prone to saying something inappropriate and she doesn’t even feel ashamed because of it.

History

As an only child, from very young age Anzu was pampered and doted on a lot by her father Ryouta. Though Mitsuko, her mother, was more reserved and overbearing when it came to raising her daughter, her attempts to tame Anzu's fiery temperament gave no results. All that because Anzu could always count on her dad's weak spot toward her. In her childhood, she was her father’s little princess and both of them spent a lot of time together. She took after her father in many ways and, just like him, she started practicing karate at the age of 6. 

In middle school, influenced by her childhood friend Omi, she started to play basketball and got really into it. Though she remained being more passionate about karate, she devoted herself to these two sports to the degree that she started neglecting studying for school. Declining school marks started to be very disturbing for her mother, who began forcing Anzu into more studying. When the penultimate year of school ended with Anzu having poor results, her mother gave her an ultimatum: she would get herself to study properly or she will not participate in the upcoming karate tournament. This situation forced Anzu to quit the basketball club, but she didn't have much free time anyway, as she devoted herself to training and studying. However, the effort brought her fulfilment, so during the last year of school she had good grades and could finally participate in karate tournament, which she won as a result. Soon the situation improved further, when she got an invitation to Yoshioka Gakuen. 

With this achievement, Anzu entered high school, even though she had to promise her mother that she would not neglect her studies and put as much of effort into studying as into her club activities. However, this time there was not a reason for Anzu to spend so much time with books and she ended up studying during the holidays to raise her grades again. She began to pick regular quarrels with her mother. Although in her second year her grades weren’t really that bad - thanks to Omi's support – her mother and she have now a poor relationship, as Anzu does as she wants anyway.
